Silver Jubilee Garden

The Silver Jubilee Garden was laid out in 1977 and re-laid in 2005. It was created to mark the Queen’s twenty-five years on the throne. At its centre there is a sundial from the garden of Sir Roy’s friend, Sir Cecil Beaton. This is a parterre garden to look down upon in spring to a dazzling display of tulips and later to summer planting. The surrounding beds are filled with white and yellow roses under planted with Hidcote lavender.
