Yew Garden & Nymphaeum

The Yew Garden was one of the first Roy & Julia planted in 1974 planned as a vista from the east facade of the house. Over the decades it is a garden that, apart from its hedges, has gone through huge changes thanks to its decimation by box blight in the late 1990’s. Julia designed the present parterre beds of  yew which are in filled with seasonal container planting. In 2015, a nymphaeum and small grotto was built in celebration of Sir Roy’s 80th birthday.
